STREET ACCIDENTS.
Through the courtesy of the Commissioner of Police for the
Metropolis I am able to give below an analysis of the street
accidents for the year. One pedal cyclist and one pedestrian
were killed as a result of collision with a trolley bus and a private
car respectively. There were 51 serious accidents and 250
accidents involving minor personal injury. The reduction in
fatal accidents from seven in 1937 to two in 1938 is noticeable.
