Medical Officer's Annual Report
Public Health Department,
Town Hall,
Hayes, Middx.
May, 1938.
To the Chairman and Members of the Urban District Council of
Hayes and Harlington.
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have the honour to submit the thirty-third Annual Report
on the health of the Urban District of Hayes and Harlington.
The health of this district may be considered to be very
satisfactory, in that there has been no considerable outbreak of
infectious disease during the year and the death rate at 10.8
per 1,000 is 1.6 less than that of England and Wales as a whole.
The live birth rate is 21.42 as against 14.9 for England and
Wales.
May I thank the members and officials of the Council for their
help during the past year ?
I have the honour to be,
Your obedient servant,
J. STANLEY LLOYD,
Medical Officer of Health.
