SECTION F.
PREVALENCE OF, AND CONTROL OVER
INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
General.
An extensive epidemic of Scarlet Fever was experienced
in the Urban District during the year as already noted,
starting in September. Hospital accommodation was found
to be quite adequate and the epidemic died down to normal
proportions in the early part of December. Influenza was
not very prevalent and was not of a severe type.
