HEAT INSPECTION (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1971
The income from this meat inspection service during the year was £6,075.37p.
DISEASES OF ANIMALS ACT, 1950
The Regulation of Movement of Swine Order, 1959 continued in force and
several hundred movement licences were dealt with and visits to our
11 licensed boiling plants were continued as before.

Enforcement Proceeding
Two legal proceedings were instituted in respect of Stautory Notices served
under the Public Health and Housing Acts (1 each).
72 court cases were taken under the Food and Drugs Act, 1955, resulting
in total fines of £922.00 and costs of £323.66.
37 under the Shops Act, 1950, (fines £230 costs £190); 3 under the Noise
Abatement Act, 1960 (fines £20 costs £5), 7 under the Civic Amenities Act,
1967 (fine3 £90 costs £25); and 7 under the Offices, Shops and Railway
Premises Act, 1963 (fines £85 costs £15).

As a result of these inspections 940 informal notices were served and in 233 cases further action was necessary, with the service of Statutory Notices -details as follows
