SCHOOL HEALTH SERVICE

A system of comprehensive secondary education involving the combination of some secondary schools was introduced in September 1973• The school population at the end of the year was as follows

Medical Inspection of School Pupils
Periodic Medical Inspections
4681 pupils were given a full periodic medical examination
by a school medical officer during the year and 2777 others were
considered not to require full examination as a result of the
selective procedure.
