Enforcement Proceedings
No legal proceedings were instituted in respect of Statutory
Notices served under the Public Health and/or Housing Acts
16 court cases were taken under the Food and Drugs Act,
1955, resulting in total fines of £525 and costs of £221.85; 49
under the Shops Act, 1950, (fines £127 costs £81); 2 under the
Noise Abatement Act, 1960 (fines £15 costs £5); 10 under the
Civic Amenities Act, 1967 (fines £85, costs £34); 1 under the
61
