OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE
Details of this scheme, which provides medical screening
of all prospective employees of the Council, were given in my
annual report for 1969. The scheme also covers investigation of
any medical matter affecting individual employees or groups of
employees.
Entrants to the teaching profession and candidates for
admissions to teacher training colleges are also examined in
accordance with the requirements laid down by the Department
of Education and Science. An additional duty undertaken by this
service at the commencement of 1970 was medical examination
ofcouncil employees for heavy goods vehicle driving licences.
