"AT RISK" REGISTER
The number of children considered to be "at risk" due to
various hereditary, ante-natal or post-natal factors at the 31st
December, 1968 was 439 compared with a figure of 473 at the
same date on the previous year. Related to the number of notified
live births in each year the number of children "at risk" represented
11% of the total notified live births as against an equivalent
figure of 10.7% for 1967. These children are carefully followedup
until such time as it is ascertained that proper progress is
being made and that no abnormality is apparent.
