Classification of Sites
The classification of sites indicates the neighbourhood in which the instruments are located as
follows:-
A1 - residential area with high density housing or with medium density housing in multiple occupation,
in either case surrounded by other built-up areas.
A2 — predominantly A1, but interspersed with some industrial undertakings.
A3 - residential area with high density housing or medium density housing in multipleoccupation
surrounded by or interspersed with open spaces.
D2—small town centre; limited commercial area mixed with old residential housing and possibly
industry.
