STAFF MEDICAL ASSESSMENTS, EXAMINATIONS AND SICK PAY REPORTS
There was an increased rate of combined medical assessments and examinations during the year
1966. In the last nine months of 1965, there was a total of 1355 assessments and examinations; at the
same rate about 1600 would have been expected for the twelve months of 1966, but instead there were 1900.
(The very high figure of 910 medical assessments for the Education Department is partly accounted for
by the large number of applications for part-time employment in the School Meals Service).
The reports on sick pay cases continued at about the same rate as in 1965 when there were 78 in the
last nine months. In 1966 just over 100 would have been expected, and there were in fact 109.
