(a) Letters to Doctors.
Letters on the following subjects were
circulated to Friern Burnet practitioners in 1961,
some under ray signature as Medical Officer of Health,
others either as Area Medical Officer or District
School Medical Officer:
January l6th. - Health Education.
March l6th. - Laundry Service for
Old People.
April 14th. - Bank Holiday Arrangements for
Collection of Laboratory
Specimens.
July 11th. - Plantar Warts (Verrucas)
December lSth. - Christmas Holiday Arrangements
for Collection of Laboratory
Specimens.
It has been our consistent practice to keep
general practitioners in touch with recent developments
in the field of preventive medicine, so that integration
can be achieved. This policy is showing useful
dividends.
(b) Medical Examinations.
During 1961, 34 medical examinations were
carried out in respect of the new entrants to the
Council's service.
