Combined Drainaqe.—The following have been reconstructed:—Nos.
48, 49 aud 50, the Avenue; Nos. 117 to 127,
Pembroke Road ; Friern Place, Oakleigh Road.
Vent Columns.—The work of fixing Sewer Vent Columns
has been continued in various roads.
Change of Name.—The Council have sanctioned the name
"Oakleigh Avenue" in place of "All Saint's Road" on the
Oakleigh Park Estate.
Road from the Avenue.—Negotiations are being made with
the Great Northern Railway Company to acquire land to
make a road from the bottom of the Avenue into Oakleigh
Road, S. This would be a much desired improvement. As
Cul de Sac roads, particularly in poor neighbourhoods such
as the Avenue, are bad from a moral and sanitary point of
view.
