Inspections
The total number of inspections made during the year was
18,880.
At 367 of the houses and other premises visited, defects or
nuisances to the number of 1,462 were discovered. At the end of the
year 965 had been remedied or abated and the work in connection
with 102 was in hand. In order to ascertain that the sanitary defects
were being properly remedied, 422 visits were paid to the respective
premises while the work was in progress.
