Tuberculosis
Two persons died from tuberculosis during 1959, giving a death
rate of 0.029 per 1,000 population.
Twenty-six new cases were notified and this figure is the lowest
number per year of new notifications on record. The case rate per
1,000 population was 0.38.
One child under school age was found to be suffering from
tuberculosis of the lungs.
