The complaints were investigated promptly and in those cases
in which the Council had power to intervene the necessary steps
were taken to remove the cause of complaint.
Places of Public Entertainment
The cinemas, dance halls and other places of public entertainment
have been inspected, special attention being given to the
condition and adequacy of the sanitary accommodation. The defects
discovered as a result of these inspections were remedied after
notice had been given to the persons responsible. Eighteen premises
were inspected and a report was submitted to the Middlesex County
Council which is the licensing authority.
