RODENT CONTROL
To simplify the examination of claims submitted by local
authorities to the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, the
Ministry requires that the Annual Report, which previously has
covered the calendar year, should now coincide with the financial
claim year (i.e. 1st April to 31st March).
The report, on this occasion, therefore, covers the fifteen
months' period from 1st January 1953 to 31st March 1954.

Arising from these complaints, 82 additional premises were
found to be infested with rats and 29 infested with mice.
Twenty-six premises, where poultry were kept, were found
to be infested with rats. This figure represents 7.64% of the
infestations.
