Three smoke tests were applied to rat burrows. No defects in
drainage were revealed.
A Ship Rat was destroyed in a fruiterer's shop. It had been
brought into the premises in a case of bananas from an infested
store outside the district.
This was reported to the Ministry of Agriculture who took
appropriate action.
Treatment of Sewers
Sausage Rusk with Zinc Phosphide, and Bread Mash with
Arsenic were used alternately, in carrying out the maintenance
.treatment of sewers.
