At the two dairies in the District new bulk storage tanks have
been provided and at one a new High Temperature Short Time

Ice Cream Premises
The Ice Cream (Heat Treatment etc.) Regulations, 1947,
control the method by which ice cream should be manufactured.
Only two persons make ice cream within the Borough, and
both employ the method known as "complete cold mix" which
only requires the addition of water.
Most of the ice cream sold is manufactured outside the
Borough.
There are 123 premises registered for the sale of ice cream.
Twenty samples were taken during the year.
Coffee Stalls
The number of coffee stalls in the Borough is two. Both are
situated on the main roads.
They are visited at intervals and action is taken to secure
the provision of a satisfactory water supply, suitable means of
food storage, cleanliness of stalls and utensils and proper means
for the storage and disposal of refuse.
