To the Mayor, Aldermen and Councillors of the
Borough of Finchley.
June, 1937.
I have the honour to submit my Annual Report for 1936
on the health of the Borough.
This report has been drawn up in accordance with the
Ministry of Health Circular 1561 of the 16th October, 1936.
The vital statistics are very satisfactory. The increase
in the birth rate, which was reported last year, has been
maintained, while the death rate has fallen slightly.
The incidence of, and mortality from, the principal
infectious diseases have been exceptionally low.
I wish to express my indebtedness to Dr. Russell, Mr.
Franklin, and the whole staff of the Public Health Department
for their loyal co-operation and assistance throughout
the year.
I am,
Your obedient servant,
A. TURNER.
