Scarlet Fever.
There was a sharp drop in the number of cases of scarlet
fever in 1936 over the previous year, the figures being 91
as compared with 171. The incidence of the disease was lower
in 1936 than at any time during the past 25 years.
Seventy cases were removed to hospital and there was
no death.
Enteric Fever.
One case of paratyphoid B. was notified during the
year. The patient was an elderly lady and she recovered
from the attack.
Pneumonia.
The number of notifications received was 45, and there
were 55 deaths.
