ANNUAL REPORT
OF THE
Chief Sanitary Inspector
For the Year 1935
To the Mayor, Aldermen and Councillors of the
Borough of Finchley.
I have the honour to present to you my Thirty-fourth
Annual Report dealing with the work carried out by your
Sanitary Inspectors during the Year 1935.
The total number of inspections made during the year
was 12,246. At 1,207 of the houses and other premises
visited, defects or nuisances to the number of 2,464 were
discovered, and at the end of the year 1,823 of these had
been remedied or abated, the work in connection with 589
was in hand, and the remaining 52 were outstanding. In
order to ascertain that the sanitary defects were being
properly remedied, 1,924 visits were paid to the respective
premises while the work was in progress.
