IN THE AREA.
Hospitals, i. Tuberculosis (County of Middlesex Scheme).
I am indebted to Dr. Tate, the County Medical Officer,
for the following information :—
' Under the County Council's Scheme for the
treatment of tuberculosis 570 beds are reserved for the
institutional treatment of residents in the County of
Middlesex, viz. :—
Pulmonary Tuberculosis.

The County Council has six beds for children
reserved for its use at the Victoria Home, Margate.
In all other cases, pulmonary and surgical,
application for admission is made to one or other of
the existing institutions approved by the Ministry
of Health for the treatment of tuberculosis.
