To the Chairman and Members of the Education Committee
of the Borough of Finchley.
I have the honour to submit my report on the work of
the School Medical Service for the year 1934.
Although there has been no material extension of the
scheme of medical inspection and treatment, steady progress
has been maintained in every direction. The health of the
children as revealed at routine medical inspection continues
to be very good and the number of defects discovered is very
low.
The work carried out at the Dental Clinic shows considerable
expansion and the report prepared by the School
Dental Officer is worthy of attention.
Infectious diseases were below the average in incidence
and on the whole were comparatively mild in character.
Once again I wish to acknowledge the ready co-operation
and assistance of Head Teachers and all members of your
staff.
I am,
Your Obedient Servant,
A. A. TURNER.
School Medical Officer.
