FOOD.
Milk Supply.
Finchley must be considered to be very fortunate in its
milk supply. Several large and up-to-date establishments
for the production and distribution of designated milk are
situated in the district with the very desirable result that
the delivery of milk in sealed bottles which are filled under
hygienic conditions is rapidly becoming universal.
The cow-sheds in the district have been visited
periodically by the Council's Veterinary Inspector, Mr.
Wallis, and all the cows have been inspected.
Other Foods.
Other premises where food is prepared, stored or exposed
for sale are subject to periodical inspection, and the
necessary steps are taken to ensure that the premises are
kept in a proper sanitary condition and to secure, so far
as possible, the wholesomeness of all foodstuffs intended for
human consumption.
