altered conditions on the occasion of re-visits, thus making
a continuous record of the sanitary condition of the property.
Owing to other pressing duties, it was not possible to carry
on extensive operations on these desirable lines, and it need
hardly be explained that immediately following such inspections,
much work has to be done in connection with the preparation
of communications to the owners containing specifications
of necessary works, and the supervision of such works
when carried out. Time is also taken up in interviewing
owners, builders, and others, both at the office and on the
property.
