Thanks to the interest taken in the matter by the School
Staff, good progress has already been made with the work of
compiling the records. The parents, with few exceptions,
appear to have been glad to afford information, and to have
appreciated the fact that the School Authorities had
originated the enquiry with a view to the children's welfare.
Owing to the short time that has elapsed since the cards were
issued, it has been found impossible to obtain full particulars,
but as an example of the results so far tabulated, I give the
following, relating to St. John's Mixed School (163 children):
