Section 47.
Sanitary circumstances and associated home conditions
of the many aged persons have been kept under review, and
where indicated, the necessary improvements have been
effected.
During the year under review, it was necessary to
arrange for the compulsory removal to hospital of an
elderly lady in accordance with the provisions of the National
Assistance (Amendment) Act 1951, being a person in need
of care and attention which she was unable to provide for
herself and was not receiving from other people.
