Section 47.
Sanitary circumstances and associated home conditions
of the many aged persons have been kept under review, and
where indicated, the necessary improvements have been
effected.
During the year under review, it was necessary to
arrange for the compulsory removal to hospital of two
elderly ladies, in accordance with the provisions of the
National Assistance (Amendment) Act 1951. They being
persons in need of care and attention which they were unable
to provide for themselves and were not receiving from other
people.
