D (5)d Drainage, Closet accommodation and Cesspools
The water carriage system has been practically universal
in the Borough for many years, and sewerage is disposed <«
at the outfall vested in the West Kent Sewerage Board.
Corporation sewers have been extended to take the drainage
of recently developed housing estates.
Of cesspools, 19 are known to exist, and these are subject
to cleansing service maintained in accordance with the
resolution of the Council dated 10th March, 1942.
During the year two cesspools have been abandoned,
and the drains connected to Corporation sewers.
