D (5)d Closet Accommodation and Cesspools
Though the water carriage system has been universal in
he Borough for many years, 21 cesspools are known to exist
nd these are subject to a cleansing service monthly by resolution
of the Council dated 10th March, 1942. The cesspools
requiring this service are in obscure positions which thus
necessitates the covering of considerable distances both for
pumping and conveying to the point of discharge.
D (5)e Smoke Abatement
No material change has occurred during the year regardng
industrial smoke emission. Implementation of the Beaver
