The Erith Sports Stadium and Arena developed and built
by the Council on former derelict land in South Road was
used for the first time on 2nd August. The lay out includes
running tracks, bicycle racing track, and grassed area with
special jumping lanes and pits. Provision is being made for
the accommodation of well over 8,000 spectators.
