A (3) Unemployment Figures and Comments
With the co-operation of the Manager of Erith Employment
Exchange, to whom I am indebted for the necessary
information, it is once again possible to give definite figures
with regard to the state of unemployment in the district, as
shown in the following table.

The figures reveal a slight decrease in the number of men
unemployed but a slight increase in the number of women
unemployed. Unemployment still remains at a low level and
at about the same percentage of the working population, viz.
1.3%.
