Act, 1950
The Milk (Special Designations) (Specified Areas) Order 1951
On 1st October, 1951, the above-mentioned Order came
into operation within this administrative area, and since that
date the whole of the milk supply within the Borough has been
specially designated in conformance with the Statute.

The following table indicates the number of licences issued by the Local Authority in 1952 under (1) Milk (Special Designation) (Pasteurised and Sterilised Milk) Regulations 1949, and (2) Milk (Special Designation) (Raw Milk) Regulations 1949, viz:—

Article 26 (1)
In two instances, proceedings were instituted against a
registered Distributor for failure to cleanse milk bottles as
required by the above Statute. Convictions resulted in the
defendants being fined a total of £20 and £10 10s. 0d. costs.
E(2)g Ice-Cream
23 Manufacturers of ice-cream are entered on the Register
but only 8 operate (i.e. 2 boil mix and 6 cold mix).
During the year 22 samples of ice-cream were procured
and submitted to the Bacteriologist, examination results being
as follows:—
