A (3) Unemployment Figures and Comments
With the co-operation of the Manager of Erith Employment
Exchange, to whom I am indebted for the necessary
information, it is once again possible to give definite figures
with regard to the state of unemployment in the district, as
shown in the following table.

Unemployment in Erith throughout 1952, though higher
than in 1951, still remained at a low level, and at the end of
the year was still only 1.3% of the total working population.
