agreed to accept such restrictions and measures as appeared to
be necessary, and to give us every facility to carry out our
investigation. I am also greatly indebted to my colleagues,
both Medical Officers of Health and Sanitary Inspectors in the
affected areas who did so much to bring the epidemic to an
end in the shortest possible time. Every assistance was also
received from the Hospital authorities, the Public Health
Laboratories and from the Ministry of Health for which we
are also grateful.
