E (7) Shops Acts 1912—1938
With regard to the statutory hours of closing, it was
necessary to issue 6 warnings to shopkeepers upon the noncompliance
with the statute. In one instance a shopkeeper
was prosecuted for selling articles prohibited by Section 4
of the 1912 Act, the defendant being fined £1.
