SECTION B.—MATERNITY AND CHILD
WELFARE SERVICES.
B(l). Maternity and Child Welfare Scheme.
With the cessation of hostilities the child welfare services
. were able to function more normally, as did the specialist
clinics.
The total attendances iscreased by over two thousand
(2059) an increase of 8.7 per cent, as compared with the previous
year, although the actual numbers attending the Belvedere
Centre shows a small reduction.
The number of medical consultations held was nearly 3
per cent (102) less than in the preceding twelve months, this
being due to illness and consequent changes of staff.
