year.
Arrangements have been made to secure admission of these
patients either to Queen Charlotte's Annexe or to the North
Western Hospital, which is controlled by the London County
Council, except when the patient's own practitioner arranges
for treatment elsewhere.
Under the Public Health (Puerperal Pyrexia) Regulations
1939, a Consulting Obstetrician, Mr. A. Galletly, is available
for assistance to Medical Practitioners within the area.

C (6). Disinfection of Premises after Infectious Disease.
The Sanitary Foreman acts also as Infectious Disease
Enquiry Officer and Disinfecting Officer.
Following the removal of cases of infectious disease, tuberculosis,
etc., 73 premises were disinfected, whilst enquiries
to obtain particulars regarding 57 cases of tuberculosis were

patient has recovered and the room requires disinfection.
The Council have a steam disinfector at the Isolation
Hospital, at which clothing, bedding, etc., are disinfected, in
addition to the disinfections carried out for the hospital itself.
C(7). Laboratory Facilities.
Examination of pathological specimens, and other laboratory
work for the District, are undertaken by the Kent County
Laboratory, Sessions House, Maidstone.
