One case was a child who showed no symptoms
beyond a slight nasal discharge, he was a contact with
others admitted to the Sanatorium, as suffering from
Scarlet Fever, and who were found after admission to be
carrying the Diphtheria Bacillus though not showing
any clinical signs or symptoms.
The number of houses affected was '2(6), and in 5
houses two cases occurred.
The attack rate of the disease was 1.01 per 1,000,
and there were 5 deaths, giving a case mortality of 16.1
per cent.
Thirty of the cases were removed to the Sanatorium
for treatment, a percentage of 97.
The remaining case was too ill to be removed and
died at home.
No return cases occurred.

Enteric Fever.
Two cases of this disease occurred during the year.
Both were removed to Hospital and both recovered.
