Measles
One thousand, five hundred and thirty-six cases of measles were notified and
the attack rate was 5.78 per thousand of the population.
There were no deaths.
Meningitis (Acute)
Nine cases of acute meningitis were notified, and the attack rate was 0*03 per
thousand of the population.
There were three deaths.
Paratyphoid Fever
One case of paratyphoid fever was notified— in a woman who had returned
from holiday in Tangier.
Poliomyelitis (Acute)
Two cases of poliomyelitis were notified, both having been infected abroad.
There were no deaths.
Scarlet Fever
One hundred and six cases of scarlet fever were notified, and the attack rate
was 0.40 of the population.
There were no deaths.
