A considerable amount of the time of the staff of the Health
Department is taken up in interviewing members of the public
who call at the offices for advice on matters concerning health
and complaints as to the condition of their houses.

NOISE ABATEMENT ACT, 1960
This Act makes noise or vibration which would amount to a
nuisance at common law a statutory nuisance which can be dealt
with according to the procedure provided in part III of the Public
Health Act, 1936.
