INQUESTS
Thirty-nine inquests, and two hundred and seventy-two postmortems
without inquests, were held during the year.
Of these, two hundred and seventy-four deaths were due to
natural causes, twenty-five to accidental causes, nine to suicide,
one to misadventure and in two cases an open verdict was recorded.
