PREVENTION OF DAMAGE BY PESTS ACT, 1949.
Some reorganisation was carried out in this Section during the
year. The vacant post of Rodent Officer was not filled, but an
additional operative was appointed, making a total of four operatives.
Two of the operatives have been fully occupied for some time in
completing a survey to ascertain the exact location of all sewer
manholes throughout the Borough and have carried out concurrent
sewer treatment by Sodium Fluoracetate in damp coarse oatmeal
involving 1,900 manholes.
