house Report on the existing and probable future requirements
of the District, and the facilities which were available to meet
those requirements.
The Minister has since replied stating that he proposes to accept
the Slaughterhouse Report, and will make the Appointed Day, by
which the sole slaughterhouse in the Borough shall comply with
the requirements of the Regulations, to be 1st January, 1963.
Unsuccessful endeavours have been made to find an alternative
site for this slaughterhouse. Meanwhile, an appeal against the
planning authority's refusal of planning permission to allow work
in connection with the development of the existing slaughterhouse
has been made.
