The number of deaths assigned to Enfield for 1961 was 1,161,
53 more than for last year.

The death rate for the Borough is 10.60 per 1,000 population.
Three hundred and twenty-six deaths registered were of
Enfield persons aged 80 years or more, 125 being males and 201
females. 2 males and 7 females were aged 95 years or more, 1
female reaching the age of 100 years.
It will be seen that 28.07 of the total deaths were of persons
over 80 years of age.
