HOSPITAL FOR INFECTIOUS DISEASES
During the year, the following cases were admitted from Enfield
to South Lodge Hospital.
Dysentery 6
Measles 1
Scarlet Fever 22
Whooping Cough 5
Gastro-enteritis 11
Upper Respiratory Infection 1
Pneumonia 3
Erysipelas 1
Quinsy 1
Mumps 3
Tuberculosis 2
Chickenpox 3

DIPHTHERIA
For the twelfth year in succession no case of Diphtheria occurred
in the Borough.
DIPHTHERIA IMMUNISATION
1,936 children were immunised for the first time and 3,067
received reinforcing doses during the year.
WHOOPING COUGH IMMUNISATION
1,710 children were immunised against Whooping Cough for the
first time during the year, and 376 received re-inforcing doses.
POLIOMYELITIS VACCINATION
During the year, 9,860 people completed a course of three
injections, and 5,888 received two injections.
TETANUS IMMUNISATION
991 children were immunised against Tetanus and 318 received
a reinforcing dose.
