is of course, not nowadays installed because it cannot achieve the
same clarity and purity of water which more modern methods of
continuous filtration and chlorination provide, and the Council
decided to install a modern filtration and chlorination plant which
should be in operation during the summer of 1954.
SCHOOLS
The sanitary condition of the County Schools in the District
is under the constant supervision of the Sanitary Inspectors and
any defects found are immediately brought to the notice of the
Authorities concerned.
The sanitary conveniences at all the voluntary schools are
attended to daily by an employee of the Health Department.
