DIPHTHERIA
For the fifth year in succession no case of Diphtheria occurred
in the District.
DIPHTHERIA IMMUNISATION
1,251 children were immunised for the first time and 2,216
received subsequent reinforcing doses during the year.
The figure for primary immunisation is lower than last year's
figure. The number of parents accepting this service for their
children is not yet sufficiently high to warrant any sense of security.
WHOOPING COUGH IMMUNISATION
766 children were immunised against Whooping Cough for the
first time during the year, and 46 received subsequent re-inforcing
doses.
