THE MILK (SPECIAL DESIGNATIONS) REGULATIONS
1936 to 1946
There are 21 Purveyors of Milk who sell or distribute
Pasteurised Milk in the district. Twelve samples taken and tested
were found to be satisfactory.
PREVALENCE OF, AND CONTROL OVER, INFECTIOUS
AND OTHER DISEASES
The number of cases of Scarlet Fever was 124, compared with
188 in 1947;
of Diphtheria 3, as compared with 6;
of Pulmonary Tuberculosis 147, as compared with 152;
and
of Pneumonia 61, as compared with 67.
There were no deaths from Diphtheria during the year, as was
also the case in 1947.
There was one death from Scarlet Fever during the year, as
against no deaths in 1947.
