PREVALENCE OF, AND CONTROL OVER, INFECTIOUS
AND OTHER DISEASES
The number of cases of Scarlet Fever was 188, compared with
168 in 1946 :
of Diphtheria 6, as compared with 3,
of Pulmonary Tuberculosis 152, as compared with 109;
and
of Pneumonia 67, as compared with 71.
There were no deaths from Diphtheria during the year, as
against two deaths in 1946.
There were no deaths from Scarlet Fever during the year, as
was also the case in 1946.
The above figures are in respect of Civilians and NonCivilians.
